The Difference Between Device Bondage and Insex/Infernal Restraints

I have commented previously that I am a big fan of Device Bondage’s Cyd Black.  I became acquainted with his work through pd at Insex, which later transformed into Infernal Restraints.  If memory serves me, cyd appeared during the final stages of Insex, and he blew me away.  Cyd definately has a flair for bondage, and he has the keen ability to transform scenes into dark art.  I don’t want to take anything away from pd, however, as he is an artist in his own right.  That being said, after the debut of Device Bondage, two distinct styles have arguably emerged.

For me, Infernal Restraints with pd at the helm represents a more raw aesthetic.  I do not feel like I am looking at a studio shoot, but rather I feel transported into a girl’s nightmare.  This is not necessarily a bad thing.  Quite the contrary, in fact, as I love the helplessness and dread that such a scenes engenders.

Device Bondage benefits from the huge resources of Kink.com, as well as the direction of Cyd.  All the scenes are shot beautifully, and the staging is superb.  It is hard to characterize the differences without a protracted discussion, so you might want to judge for yourself.  Both sites are hard to fault, and I’d be hard pressed to pick a winner.
